Participated in Directors Lab West 2024

What a joyous time being in a room with so many other directors to talk about theatre and where it is today.

Directors Lab West is an 8-day intensive with numerous workshops and opportunities to connect with other theatre professionals in honest ways. I will be processing this upload of inspiration and information for a while, but highlights included all our conversations with Artistic Directors (Snehal Desai, Sheldon Epps, Danny Feldman, Jessica Kubzansky), a crash course in intimacy work with Carly DW Bones, and the performances we saw together all throughout LA (Mix-Mix: the Filipino Adventures of a German Jewish Boy by Boni B. Alvarez, directed by Jon Lawrence Rivera at the Latino Theater Company was a favorite).

The brightest of highlights was finding community and new friends over what really was an intense period (8 nearly 12-hour days in a row!), especially when you consider I was also producing and rehearsing Mikvah Girls to premiere the following week.
